Foamed latex head.
The foam head didn’t quite come out as expected, but for the first time of running it i’m pleased that I managed to get a peice out with out any steam collapse or major issues. The main problem was air bubbles I probably should have drilled more holes in the fibreglass in order to let the air out, as wellastapping the mould once the foam was in there.
I panicked slightly when filling it as I was unsure how long I had to get the two pieces together.
Having a foam head instead of silicone would be good if I was putting the head in to the hair or if it was to be worn around the neck as it would be lighter. However as I’m having my model hold the shrunken heads I want there to be a visable weight to them. However it was great to learn how the material works and could be a material I use for my Final Major Project.
